Simlet Player

Simlet Player is for playing World Wide Web content which integrates documents and 3D simulation. A companion product, Simlet Designer is the authoring software for interaction with the user, Simlet Player's role is not just to render fixed sequences, but to provide an interactive experience to the user. Simlet Player is integrated with World Wide Web browsing software such as Netscape Navigator, and utilizes Open Inventor for 3D rendering. Since Open Inventor is an extension (and progenitor) of VRML, Simlet Player implements a behavioral extension to current VRML capabilities.
